Established in 2012, db Show Control & Automation Ltd is a creative technical consultancy that creates robust and elegantly engineered Show Control solutions, primarily for the entertainment and leisure sector. The company develops unique custom software, as well manufacturing complete turnkey specialist Show Control & automation systems.

db Show Control's clients include the world's leading theme parks, event production companies, museums, AV Integrators and creative design consultants. Their solutions run 24/7 worldwide. Recent projects and clients include such names as Disneyland Paris, ECA2, Universal Studios (Beijing & Florida), Dubai Parks & Resorts, Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.

Everything is designed, developed and manufactured in house at the company's base in South Shields and shipped worldwide.

Since the beginning of 2022 the company has secured a significant number of new contracts. As a result, and to fulfil the demand for the manufacture of their systems, the company has expanded into a second 900 sq ft unit at One Trinity Green to accommodate this growth.

David Birchall, Technical Director and owner of db Show Control and Automation said: "We're thrilled to be expanding due to further significant project awards and the ever growing demand for our services.

"Our job is to create immersive experiences through the creative use of technology  and controlled systems - it's very unique and extremely fulfilling, as we often take a project right through from the initial creative concept to a delivered working system.

"We work within an exciting and unique market and everything we create, design and build is made right here in South Shields then exported worldwide."

Craig Pow Chong, Director of Engineering adds: "We've worked on some fantastic projects over the last few years and watching our concepts come to life alongside the audience is wonderful.  We want to show people in the North East that engineering jobs like this exist and the opportunities are endless."

Cllr Mark Walsh, Lead Member for Regeneration and Economy at South Tyneside Council, said: "It's incredible that a company like this, which has a significant reach worldwide, exists right on our doorstep and we're delighted that One Trinity Green is providing them with the right environment to allow them to scale their operation.

"We are getting more and more tech companies with growth aspirations choosing to locate their business at One Trinity Green and it is developing into a vibrant community housing some of the fantastic innovation we have here in the Borough."

One Trinity Green is a modern and contemporary development offering professional managed workspace for new and growing companies. The building offers office, workshop and hybrid units to rent in South Shields, with free onsite parking.

David Birchall will join Ian Farrar for a South Tyneside Business Talk to discuss some of the fascinating projects that db Show Control have been involved with across the world. This will take place on Friday 8 April at 1pm (revised time to originally advertised) and will be live streamed across Invest South Tyneside's social media channels.
